Rescue 1 CBD was started by Jon Vought, a Firefighter/Paramedic in South Florida who wanted to challenge the status quo of the health and wellness in the fire service.
Our mission is to increase the longevity of firefighters during their careers and after their retirement as well.

We were confident in doing this because of the way we extract our CBD. Our products are created in a proprietary way that allows us to test to 0.000% THC in the raw ingredient.

Creating Small Batches
Our products are always made in small batches so we can manage consistent and detailed lab testing.
We only use American-grown hemp to create our CBD and we take our time to make sure that there is 0.000% THC so our brothers and sisters on the job will never have to worry about failing a drug tests.
What Our Testing Process Looks Like:
- We contract with chemists who extract CBD product from the plant, and it's sent to a third party lab to analyze for THC content and contaminants like heavy metals and chemicals.
- Then, we test the CBD at a different third party laboratory to ensure the first test is accurate.
- The product is mixed, portioned, and bottled. We then sample test once again at a 3rd party lab.
This process is done for every batch, every time. Not just once a year or when we get around to it.
Testing Down to Zero Parts Per Billion
It’s important to verify the product is Safe For The Job™ but what does that actually mean? We can’t just claim "zero THC" first of all, it’s misleading. But also, determining what a "zero" THC product is can be a dirty industry secret.
Because brands will say their CBD products have 0% THC when in fact they have 0.01% THC.
This is unacceptable to us.
That small amount can make the difference between a pass or a fail on a drug test. We only use labs that can test down to 0.000% THC so that we can verify our product is safe beyond a reasonable doubt.
How We Give Back
We’re committed to donating a portion of our sales every month to advocates for the mental and physical wellbeing of our firefighters.
Right now we’re partnered up with Next Rung, a nonprofit organization that acts as a hotline for mental health for our first responders in need.
They also donate to families of fallen firefighters and have been making an impressive impact on the fire service as a whole.
